I began a consistent yoga practice entirely by accident. After going to classes sporadically for a number of years I had very much convinced myself that I didn’t get on with yoga. I felt awkward, out of place and frustrated that I couldn’t stop thinking about what was for dinner during savasana.
In 2015 a yoga studio opened around the corner from my flat and, wanting to support local businesses, I bought a class pass. To my great surprise and delight I left my first class there exhausted, exhilarated and empowered. The flowing style of movement with breath allowed me to finally quiet my chattering mind and over time I learnt to respect my body for what it was capable of.
My style of yoga is smooth, fluidic and led by the breath. I have practiced many different styles and like to bring aspects of these to my practice. I hope to foster an informal space where students can play with poses in a safe environment without fear of judgement.
